Painter Alpo Honkapohja, from Finland, impressed The Broome Review's visual art editors with his deft handling of oil colors on hard board. The three oil paintings appearing here are from a series entitled Wheels of Fortune, which were inspired by the idea that fate is a wheel taking people up & down. This outlook was a very prominent & influential concept in Antique & Medieval philosophy.

Megan Frauenhoffer tells The Broome Review's editors that she is working on "playing with image and words" in the context of the female side of marriage and hairstyles.
Bird's Nest is done in ink on paper & in creating Fidelity, The Bride, she used ink, acrylics, & gesso on Massonite.

Laura Pelick was born 1980, graduating in 2002 with a BFA from Alfred University. Her work slips between fantastical and surreal and is heavily inspired by the natural world.  Finding her viewpoint, while leaving the subject open for others to see something entirely different, is the driving force behind her creations.
